Any Christmas party can be fun and entertaining with the addition of some Christmas games. A few discount party supplies and party decorations, and a little imagination can make unique Christmas game that is sure to keep all of your Christmas party guests entertained. Here are a few helpful suggestions that you can adapt to your own Christmas party.
Santa Says
Supplies: Santa Outfit, Antlers, Red (Clown) Nose, Santa Wig, Santa Facial Supplies.Preparation: Have the “Santa” leader get dressed in his outfit. All of the other guests will put on antlers to look like Santa’s reindeer.
Goal: This game is played like Simon Says. Everyone must follow the direction of the leader after he/she uses the phrase “Santa Says.” Anyone who follows a command that is not prefaced by “Santa Says,” is out. The winner is made the Honorary Rudolf and is given a red Clown Nose to go with the antler head band to honor his/her achievement. The winner may take the next turn as Santa or the next Santa leader can be determined by a raffle.
Find the Gifts
Supplies: Santa Gift Sacs, Santa Costume Supplies, Gift Boxes/Gift Bags, Gift Wrap, Bows, rubber stamp Christmas supplies (to find), Reindeer Antlers, Red nose.Preparation: Wrap up Santa outfit articles, reindeer outfit, and miscellaneous Christmas supplies and hide them throughout a party area. Give player (or groups of players a Santa Gift Sac to collect the gifts that they are trying to find.
Goal: (Depending on the type of game) Find the packages that allow the individual/group to dress like Santa/Reindeers, or find the packages that contain outfit articles that have high point values. The host will have to decide which form of the game will be played. There are many ways to play this game, here are a few suggestions.
- After groups/individuals have collected packages, they can choose to trade packages with the other participants if they believe the other team has a part of the Santa/Rudolf outfit. Each article of either costume will have a point value that will let add to the score; non costume items will have a low or negative point value.
- Teams will race to find as many gifts as possible and whoever gets back first, opens the gifts, and puts on the outfit pieces will win.
Since there are so many more ways this game can be played, get creative with the point systems, the race elements of the game and the trading portion of the game. This can be a great game, so have fun and make your party the talk of the North Pole.
