Table Decoration
Tables can play large roles in nearly every event whether they are used for meals, rest areas, present collection locations, or simple accent decorations that spice up the room. For your Valentine's Day party, make sure your tables are fun and festive, ready to make your party just right for the occasion. Here are some cool ideas for how you can transform an ordinary table into an extraodinary Valentine's Day decoration.
Covering the Table
- Use a tablecover from one of the great Valentine's Day tableware patterns Partypro has to offer, or use an appropriate colored tablecover from the colored tableware portion of Partypro. If you are adding another theme to your Valentine's Day party you may want to use a tablecover from that theme to make everything flow better, but that is completely up to you and your party theme.
- After you have placed the tablecover where you want it, sprinkle some confetti around the table. You can use as much confetti as you want without worrying about the mess as you will see in the next step. Once again, if you are adding another pattern to the Valentine's Day party, you may use appropriate confetti from that pattern, Valentine confetti, or regular confetti.
- Once the confetti is where you want it, use a clear plastic tablecover that will act as a protective barrier so the confetti stays where you want it rather than all over the floor or your arms. Not only will the table look nice while your Valentine's Day party is in progress, but you will also be able to clean up quickly after the party and avoid the confetti mess that partiers traditionally run into.
- Depending on your party themes, overall design, and table type, you may want to add a table runner for an extra stylish touch.
Decorating the Table
Although there are some pre-made Valentine's Day centerpieces available amongst the Valentine's Day and other themed party supplies, it can be very nice to add a personal touch to the party and make your own centerpiece that can accent your party. Here are a few centerpiece ideas that utilize a few supplies that you can find around Partypro's warehouses.
- Find an appropriately colored centerpiece from the centerpiece area of Partypro and add some hearts and cupid stickers to the stars that are formed on the centerpiece. Doing this will turn the generic centerpiece into a cascading Valentine's Day table blast.
- For a decorative and functional Valentine centerpiece, take a look in Partypro's catering party supplies at the bowls and trays. You can place a 24 OZ. or 160 OZ. red bowl on top of a clear or colored tray at the center of the table, and then fill the bowl and tray with anything from candies to favors. The tray is not absolutly necessary, but it does seem to make the centerpiece look a little more complete.
- To fill the room with some more Valentine party fun, place a balloon weight in the center of the bowl (as described in the previous suggestion) with a bouquet of between 3 and 6 latex and mylar balloons tied to the top. Make sure you clean the balloon weight before you place it in the bowl so you can still use the bowl for food, serving utencils and other fun Valentine's Day treats.
- If you do not want to use your precious table space you can use a Valentine's Day hanging cascade and hang it high enough from the table to be a part of the table decorations without interferring with the items that are on the table. If you decide to use this idea, and you want to fill the room a little more, blow up some balloons by mouth and connect them to the string that is holding the Valentine cascade to the ceiling. Doing this will add a bit of style to the overall centerpiece so you don't just see a seemingly random string hanging from the ceiling.
